I am inspired by emotional reactions to human form and nature, the natural world, light and texture.

The paintings begin with the process of stretching the canvas and preparing it, using traditional methods, thus allowing me to become involved at the earliest stage.  This allows me to develop a relationship with the work and I hope that the viewer will then build their own relationships or responses with the finished work.

I studied Fine Art at DeMontfort University, and PGCE at Hull University.  I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher and lecturer. 

Tuition is offered on a one to one basis or in groups.
